Memorable Honk & Wave Event Unites Colorado Volunteers to Close Primary Season

Colorado’s primary season culminated in a powerful and heartfelt event known as the Honk & Wave, drawing nearly 90 dedicated volunteers to the intersection of University and Hampden. This gathering was far more than a routine campaign stop; it was a vibrant expression of community spirit and a demonstration of what can happen when ordinary individuals unite with extraordinary commitment.

Participants included a diverse mix of supporters such as Carlos and Berta, who proudly drove the Victor truck; campaign leaders Victor and Eileen; youthful Gen Z advocates; families; veterans; first-time volunteers; and longstanding backers of the movement. Each person’s involvement was significant, contributing to the collective effort toward a stronger Colorado.

A highlight of the day was a group photograph capturing the unity and friendship that had blossomed over the past seven months. Many attendees, who initially met as strangers, now stood together bound by shared values of faith, hope, and purpose alongside their mutual love for their state.

Special acknowledgment was given to behind-the-scenes campaign members Audra and Liah for their invaluable support, as well as to the photographers who often work unseen yet preserve these meaningful memories through their lens.

Heartfelt gratitude went out to every volunteer who dedicated their Saturday to the cause—whether by waving flags, wearing campaign shirts, honking in support, offering smiles and prayers, or simply showing up. Regardless of forthcoming outcomes, the connections formed and the moments shared on this day endure as a testimony to Colorado’s community strength and commitment.
